I was taking apart my hotend after a globpocolypse, and misplaced the screw holding the thermister is, do you know what kind of screw it is?

After using these machines for close to a year in a print farm you can pretty much guarantee to have to replace the PCBA board, motherboard and hot end at least once in that duration. Maybe an extruder as well although the new ones are better. That’s not factoring in belts and motors as yet they seem to be holding up but I’ve just sent a K1 Max back after 2 main boards and a PCBA board didn’t fix the rattling print head issue on calibration. I have been pushing these machines printing only ABS on 6 hour stints daily for months on end. They aren’t a good print farm machine, not reliable enough, although they have performed well they have all started to suffer major failures at the same time resulting in big headaches for production. I will be switching to Bambulab P1S to start a comparison test over the next eject few months. It would be good to get an industrialised K1 version that just has everything beefed up for long life cycles. I would happily pay the extra for that.

Hi, I’ve had my machine a month. And literally in the last few days the printer has issues with the extruder feeder thing. Basically I can’t feed any filament into the nozzle as it’s hitting metal. So I’m assuming the gears aren’t aligned or something? I thought I’d message on here first to see if anyone had a cure for this…. Otherwise I’ll be claiming under warranty for a replacement machine or components. Thank you for any help.

OK you guys need to emphasize that this is the most important step in completing this task. If you do not go on your computer and connect it it’s not gonna work was in the app it does not connect to the printer and sonic pad you need to emphasizes this…

How do I swap out the gears in the extruder?

You do realize you are supposed to check this on a heated bed, right? All previous Ender 3 had to be done that way when you have to manually level the bed yourself - no difference here. Heat it up to the proper temp you are using, and then recheck to see how far off the warp is.

Why do you apply such strong glue? I just disconnected the heater and thermistor wires. The thermistor connector body was detached from the PCB and stuck to the responding part of the connector on the thermistor wire.

My K1Max has suffered repeated clogs since I got it. I've contacted Creality and got nothing back. I believe the hot end suffers heat creep and on retraction the molten filament is cooling and clogging in the cold section of the nozzle. its worsened with time (I've had to continually un clog and re start prints)... its so bad now the most basic print will fail. :(

Silicone grease? The printer I bought only came with metal grease.
